Over seven thousand voices were raised in unison on Sunday in a call to the Prime Minister David Cameron to keep the RAF in Moray.

The march through the streets of Lossiemouth was led by the Highlands Association Pipe Band and the community's Save RAF Lossiemouth Action Group. They were joined by Scotland's political leaders, ex-servicemen, local families, and community and business representatives.

Moray Council Convener George McIntyre, who marched alongside Highland Council Convenor Sandy Park, spoke on behalf of the Moray task force. Members of the task force, made up from the area's public agencies, business and community groups, also attended the event.

The rally at Grant Park heard speeches from across the political spectrum and from those in the community. The clear message was for the MoD to secure the future of the RAF in Moray and to warn of the impact to the local community if the bases are mothballed.
